Team Alameda is our road cycling club.
Our club is open to all ages, all genders, and all levels of riders and the goal is to inspire and encourage cycling throughout the Bay Area. Team Alameda was incubated and funded by Alameda Bicycle in 2005 into a separate non-profit entity to best serve Alameda cyclists. Thanks to numerous volunteers, Team Alameda is now a thriving riding club that caters to cyclists of most skill levels (even the occasional mountain bike rides). We love to ride, especially if there's a great taqueria stop involved. We also love to work with Alameda schools and other groups to promote cycling.

No Drop? I keep reading that term, but what exactly does that mean? Well, it means that no matter what…we'll always happily wait for the last person up the hill. We might even cheer. So you never have to worry about getting left behind. |

When do we ride? Saturday mornings at 8am and Sunday mornings at 9am. Most of these rides require road bikes, they almost always hit hills, and go from 25 - 60 miles. However, almost all rides are "no-drop" meaning we stop frequently to regroup and encourage you to get up the hill!
We also have an official "slow ride" on the 2nd Sunday at 9am. It is a flat course around Alameda and sometimes beyond. Generally 5-15 miles, this is a great place to get started cycling. All bikes are welcome.
