This is a 58cm Surly Straggler custom build. The Straggler is a perfect canvas for building out a dream street, gravel, or touring bike - and we went a little on the city end of things here. It's got a dynamo front hub (Shimano Alfine) with a B&M Eyc headlight. Shimano 1x11 SLX/XT gearing, a SRAM Rival crank, and Sunrace 11-46 round out the drivetrain. The brakes are TRP Spykes for lots of stopping power and extra adjustment. Wolf Tooth's headset, seatpost clamp, and spacers add to the overall quality of the build. The Maxxis Re-Fuse tires are tubeless ready, as are the Sun Ringle rims - though it's set up with tubes now. This is a 58, so if you're 6'1 or so, this would be a killer street ride. Straggler is a bikepacking-inspired road/gravel bike mostly at home on pavement but ready for trail duty when called. Born on Gravel. Raised on Pavement Straggler is tuned for cross-over exploration on a wide variety of terrain conditions. It's a day-tripper and a weekender. It's a "rough road" road bike, a cyclocross bike with no pretense about racing, a utilitarian townie, a light-duty touring bike and an all-weather commuter. It's a steel gravel bicycle that thrives on the road. Think of it as a "mountain biker's road bike." If you only have room for one bike in your life, Straggler can (and should) be your one and only. This is a Brompton S6L bike in Racing Green. The S6L has the S bar (flat), 6 speeds, fenders, and a pump. This one also includes a battery powered (usb rechargeable) light set from Cateye and a Brompton front carrier block to hold a bag. This bike is not available to be shipped. Aggressively thin-walled, yet tough, tubes have been implemented to save weight and this results in over a 450g (1-pound) reduction in the frame and fork alone when compared to some models of yesteryear. - Entry-level road bikes often times feature either alloy or cheap carbon fiber forks that greatly detract from the overall ride quality. But with a full FACT carbon fiber fork, the Allez is better handling, smoother riding, and lower in weight, floating over rough chip-seal and carving through corners like a slalom skier. - For the geometry, we developed the Allez by utilizing our vast Retul fit database. This meant creating a geometry that's sure to cover a broad range of positions, while still providing the performance-minded handling you'd expect from your first bike. - This Allez also features integrated rack and fender mounts, allowing you to get weight of your backpack off you and onto a lightweight rack. This not only makes for a good road bike, but it also enables you to transform it into a fast commuter.
We built up four New Albion Privateer frames as durable, reliable, upright city bikes - and one sold before we were even able to get it online! So we have three - a 52cm, a 54cm, and a 56cm. The Fairdale Weekender Nomad MX's nine-syllable name might not roll off the tongue, but it will roll over pretty much anything else with style. We based this bike loosely on some of our employee's custom builds. It has the massive range, and smooth shifting of the Weekender Nomad's SRAM Apex drivetrain mated to our MX handlebar's more upright riding position. The rugged Chromoly steel Weekender frame adapts to this fun-to-ride configuration happily and makes short or long rides a blast. This model is an in-house favorite, and we think it could be yours too.
